Why are you called The Golden Thread?

Search for the term “The Golden Thread” on the internet, and you’ll discover a book on the history of fabric, an interplanetary love story, a film about the jute industry and a protocol for managing and assessing building safety risks. All of these are complex stories. Stories in which readers could quickly lose track of where they were, where they are and where they’re heading. Then you need a golden thread to guide you through the intricate maze of information by seamlessly threading the story elements together. Hence our name: The Golden Thread. We bring structure, clarity and impact to each story you want to tell.

And why do you work for the research community and development NGOs?

The company’s owner, Dave Thomas, holds a PhD in entomology. He has worked in science communication since 2001, helping researchers, universities, research institutions, and research-driven companies to publish project results, obtain grants, inspire stakeholders and raise public awareness. However, Dave is also passionate about social justice. So since 2006, he has assisted development NGOs with their strategic communication.  With The Golden Thread, these two strands intertwine.
